  • clicker 2 for STM32 is a compact dev. kit with two mikroBUS™ sockets for click board connectivity. You can use it to quickly build your own gadgets with unique functionalities and features. It carries the STM32F407VGT6, a 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 microcontroller, two indication LEDs, two general purpose buttons, a reset button, an on/off switch, a li-polymer battery connector, a USB Mini-B connector and two mikroBUS™ socket. A JTAG connector and a 2×26 pinout for interfacing with external electronics are also provided. The mikroBUS™ connector consists of two 1×8 female headers with SPI, I 2C, UART, RST, PWM, Analog and Interrupt lines as well as 3.3V, 5V and GND power lines. Clicker 2 for STM32 board can be powered over a USB cable.

    clicker 2 is powered by an STM32F407VGT6, a 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 MCU that operates at up to 168MHz, has 1MB of flash and 192+4KB of SRAM.

    Having two mikroBUS™ sockets and an additional connection pad, clicker 2 for STM32 utilizes all of the STM32F407VGT6’s I/Os. Each mikroBUS™ socket has its own SPI, UART and I2C lines; the 1×26 connection pads on the edges of the board share SPI and UART lines with the second mikroBUS™ socket.

    Battery

    Focus on your main idea because clicker 2 will take care of the details for you: your prototype already has a power management system in place. The onboard LTC®3586-2 IC will provide 3.3V or 5V to the clicks. It turns the USB port into a charger for the li-po battery. It can also maintain an independent power supply to the MCU’s RTC even when you push the RESET button or toggle the ON/OFF switch.
